From Spokane, Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene – Take I-90 to Exit 15/Fernan (Not to be confused with the 15th Street Exit!) Take Exit 15 down to the light. Turn left at the light and go under the overpass. In about a block, you will see the USFS Fernan Ranger Station on the right hand side (South). Stay to the left and take the Fernan Lake Road through the Fernan Lake Village and around the lake. This is a scenic ride around the lake and through the country past farms and fields, for approximately 6 miles. You will see the USFS trail head and a large paved parking lot on the left (North) side of the road. The entrance to FRGC is directly across the road from the USFS trail head. There is no formal sign at this entrance. Drive down the entrance road approximately 100 yards and you will see the large FRGC gate which will be open, so just drive through and follow the road to the large parking area on the right.

From all points East – Take I-90 to Exit 15/Fernan (Not to be confused with the 15th Street Exit!). Take Exit 15 down to the light. Turn right at the light and the USFS Fernan Ranger Station will be on the right hand. Follow the directions above to the FRGC range.
